Privacy Policy

LifeLogix — meal, water & health tracking · Effective date: 24 July 2026 · Terms of Service

LifeLogix ("the app", "we") helps you track meals, water intake, activity and body metrics. This policy explains what data the app handles, where it goes, and the choices you have. Short version: your meal photos and Apple Health data never leave your device except as stated below, and you can delete your account and all data at any time inside the app.

1. Data we collect and why

2. Meal photos

Photos you take or pick are stored locally on your device only. When you use AI analysis, the photo is transmitted securely to Google's Gemini AI service solely to estimate the dish and calories, and the result is returned to your device. We do not store your photos on our servers, and photos are not used to identify you.

3. Apple Health (HealthKit)

With your permission, the app reads your step count and walking distance from Apple Health to display your daily activity. This data is read on your device, is never uploaded to our servers, is never shared with third parties, and is never used for advertising or marketing. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health.

4. Advertising (free accounts only)

Free accounts may see rewarded ads served by Google AdMob (an optional "watch an ad for an extra scan" offer). If you allow tracking via Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show more relevant ads. If you decline, you will see non-personalised ads and the app works exactly the same. In the EEA/UK, a consent form (Google UMP) is shown as required by law. Prime subscribers see no ads, and the advertising SDK is not even initialised for them. Health data is never shared with advertisers. See Google's advertising policy.

5. Recipes

The Explore tab displays public recipes fetched from Cookpad. Requests go directly from your device; we do not attach your identity to these requests beyond standard network information.

6. Third-party services

The app relies on: Google Firebase (authentication, database, crash reporting, remote configuration, push notifications, app integrity checks — privacy), Google AI (Gemini) for meal photo analysis, Google AdMob for ads on free accounts, and Apple for sign-in, subscriptions and Apple Health. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.

7. Data retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account inside the app (Settings → Delete Account). This permanently erases your profile, meals, water logs, body metrics, favourites and subscription flag from our database. Local data (photos, preferences) is removed when you delete the app. You may also email us for deletion.

8. Security

Data in transit is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). Server access is protected by Firebase security rules tied to your account, and device integrity is verified with Firebase App Check.

9. Children

LifeLogix is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Health disclaimer

Calorie figures, goals and suggestions in LifeLogix are estimates for reference only and are not medical advice. Consult a qualified professional for dietary or medical guidance.

11. Changes & contact

We may update this policy; the effective date above will change and significant updates will be noted in the app. Questions or requests: lifelogix.support@gmail.com.
